Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provide comprehensive instructions on performing each step of the identification and registration process. These procedures include guidelines on data collection, tagging methods, and data entry protocols, ensuring consistent and accurate processing of every animal across different locations and teams.
By following to SOPs, the AIR project can maintain high standards of data quality. SOPs incorporate best practices for capturing and recording data, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors or omissions. This is crucial for establishing a reliable database of registered animals.
On July 27-28, 2022, a two-day meeting was held dedicated to developing the SOPs for the AIR system. The meeting was attended by members of the Ministry of Economy (MoE), the Food Safety Inspection Body (FSIB), the Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD), and the ANI PAS electronic system architect. During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss each step of the SOPs, assign roles, and propose solutions to challenges encountered during the discussions.
